Applicants for all degree programmes provided in the English language are required to pay, simultaneously with the submission of the application form, an admission fee in the amount of EUR 23. The admission fee is to be sent to the bank account:

General information on Bachelor (Bc.) degree programme (currently not open)The Faculty of Information Technology of the Brno University of Technology (FIT BUT for short) has accredited Bachelor degree programme in Information Technology. All applicants to the Bachelor programme are expected to pass an entrance examination in mathematics and informatics at a level corresponding to standard secondary schools specialized in the science. Those applicants who fail to prove sufficient capabilities to enter the Bachelor degree programme will be offered one-year bridging study. Having completed this study by passing the final examination, the students can enter the Bachelor degree programme.
For fee-paying students, the deadline for application and CV is April 30 of the year preceding the first academic year of the study. The Secondary School-Leaving Certificate or General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE for short) is either appended to the application form or delivered no later than September 15. The certificate is necessary for enrolment of the candidate.
The FIT BUT does not provide scholarships or other financial support to international applicants.
The FIT BUT is authorised not to open the Bachelor degree programme if the number of applications delivered to April 30 of the current year is less than 15.
General information on Master (Ing.) degree programme
The FIT BUT has accredited a two-year Master degree programme in Information Technology The structure of this programme corresponds to the EU educational standards. Bachelor degree in Information and Computer Technology, or in related studies of sciences or engineering is a necessary prerequisite for Master degree study applicants. For fee-paying students, the deadline for application and CV is April 15 of the year preceding the first academic year of the study.
The Faculty of Information Technology does not provide scholarships or other financial support to international study applicants.
General information on Ph.D. degree programme
The FIT BUT has accredited a Ph.D. degree programme in Computer Science and Engineering. The nominal length of the Ph.D. degree programme is four years. Topic of Ph.D. thesis incl. supervisor/tutor will be chosen from list of available Ph.D. thesis topics which is published usually by the end of January prior to the anticipated academic year of admission.
The deadline for submitting applications is usually end of May prior to the anticipated academic year of admission.

The Faculty of Information Technology does not provide scholarships or other financial support for international Ph.D. applicants.
Language of instructionInternational students can study in English or in Czech together with Czech students. A student who would like to change from study in English to study in Czech is required to sit an exam in the Czech language to prove their competence in communicating in Czech and the knowledge of Czech technical terminology. Tuition feesThe tuition fee is 3000 Euro per year for the Master degree programme given in English and EUR 4000 per year for the Ph.D. degree programme in English. In the case of study in Czech there is no tuition fee.
Accommodation and mealsIn case of interest, the Faculty may assist in finding accommodation in university dormitories and arranging for meals in dining halls at the same quality standard as for Czech students.
